In the recent Bay of Islands Sailing Week, a slightly depleted fleet of sportboats saw Shaw 650 latest launch Money Business winning on Handicap and the super quick Shaw 7 Orange Peeler taking the honours on line with Monkey Business and Snatch 2nd and third, ahead of the Magic 25s.

Shaw 650 wins BOI 2010
In the larger size Division B, Shaw Yacht Design had 3 boats racing including Karma Police and Deep Throttle, the 2 9m canters, as well as the larger Rehab which is a Shaw 10.6m Cruiser Racer also sporting a canting keel and a truly massive downwind sail inventory.
Karma Police was pushed hard by the in-form Ross 12m Pretty Boy Floyd, but was able to take out the PHRF division with Shaw 9m Deep Throttle which uses a slightly different centreboard system taking out 2nd.
This helps cement Karma Police as the quickest of the 30 foot canters for now – well at least until the next

big regatta - with Karma Police winning the most races on line against Deep Throttle and the Elliot 9m canter Overload, in what is proving to be one of the most exciting showdowns in NZ yacht racing at the moment, with the three racing regularly against eachother in Auckland and in the Coastal Classic 2009.
The Shaw 9m is available as a New Zealand carbon construbtion built bespoke, with prices comparable to far larger and slower production leadmines yet offering offshore capabilities and short handed sailing.
