Peow Peow is the first of the home built Shaws emerging in the north of that mighty Island nation of Australia, where people eat ‘sangers’ and men drink ‘tinnies’ and where vegemite rules supreme rather than marmite.
Peow Peow will meet with the first of the fibreglass Shaw 650s shipping over to Australia early in 2010 soon enough. With a couple more under construction to the design of the Shaw 6.5m it seems like this is Aussie’s best shot at a new one design fleet with the performance needed to stay in touch with the existing fleet of arms racers, 7m and 7.5m boats yet the budget option which keeps money in the pocket for sangers and tinnies.
